Mumbai, Mar 8 (UNI) The Rupee on Friday slipped by 19 paise at 70.18 against the US Dollar in early trade on rising demand for the American currency by bankers and importers, dealers at forex market said.
Firm dollar against other currencies overseas kept the local unit down in early trade, the dealers said.
A major fluctuation was seen in the local unit as it recorded intra-day high and low at 70.22 and 70.07 respectively, they added.
