Rupee falls 7 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Friday fell by seven paise to 71.33, a two week low against the US Dollar on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, the dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit that eased by two paise to 71.28 in opening trade finally closed negative at 71.33, declining by seven paise as compared to its last close.

The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 71.35 and 71.22 respectively.

The Rupee remained weak for another day today on firm Dollar against other world currencies despite positive equity market, they added.
