Rupee recovers 17 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Friday smartly recovered 17 paise to 75.01 on fresh selling of the US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit that rose five paise to 75.13 in early trade, gained further 17 paise to finish strong at 75.01 as compared to its last close.

The Rupee registered intra-day's high and low at 75.16 and 74.97 respectively, he added.

The domestic unit bounced back due to weak greenback against other world currencies, amid a strong stock market, they added.
