Mumbai/UNI: The Indian Rupee on Thursday bounced back by 18 paise to close positive at 74.26 against the USD on the selling of US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit that gained 15 paise to 74.28 in the opening trade, rallied further and closed at 74.25, advancing 18 paise as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee rebounded due to a weak dollar against other world currencies amid a robust equity market, dealers said.

The local unit registered the days high and low at 74.32 and 74.23 respectively.
