Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday recovered by eight paise to end positive at 71.32 on fresh selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
Sliding by 21 paise on Friday, the local unit moved up by five paise to 71.35 in the opening trade. Finally, it closed at 71.32, gaining by eight paise, as compared to last close.
The domestic unit registered day's high and low at 71.43 and 71.27, respectively.
The Indian currency was seen improved because of weak dollar against other world currencies, however, negative equity market capped from further gain, the dealers added.
