SBI Group announces 3rd edition of ‘SBI Green Marathon’
Mumbai, July 23 (IBNS): After a major success of the first two editions of SBI Green Marathon, country’s largest financial services group SBI Group announces the launch of its 3rd edition.
This financial year, SBI Group is hosting this mega event in 15 cities across the country pledging for a greener future.
The 3rd edition of SBI Green Marathon, which is going to a zero waste event, would witness close to 1 lakh participants who will run to spread awareness about the importance of cleaner and greener society.
SBI General Insurance is going to be the health partner for SBI Green Marathon whereas SBI Life and SBI Mutual Funds are also significantly contributing to this cause. The 15 city marathon event will start from September 15, 2019 in Lucknow followed by Guwahati, Mumbai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Patna, Jaipur and concluding in Chandigarh on March 1, 2020. The run category for SBI Green Marathon would include 5K, 10K and 21K.

The “Run for Green” theme of this marathon event recognizes every participating individual as agents of change for a greener globe. All the participants will be given organic t-shirts to promote healthy and greener city. Even the runners’ bib would consist of seeds which can be planted after the Marathon. Also-bio degradable and recyclable material is to be used by the bank making this a zero waste event.
