Sensex down over by 100 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Friday lost further by 185.60 pts to 66,081.22 in opening trade as selling pressure was seen in Technology, banking, auto, and Oil and Gas stocks.

The Nifty too fell 33.85 pts to 19,626.05.

The midcap gained 0.29 percent and the small cap gained 0.28 percent.

In 30 scrips, 10 advanced while 20 declined.

The losers were TCS by 1.24 pc to Rs 3354.05, HDFC Bank by 1.20 pc to Rs 1653.50, ICICI Bank by 1.14 pc to Rs 979.30, Tata Motors by 1.04 pc to Rs 639.20, and Bajaj Finance by 1.01 pc to Rs 1596.

The gainers were M&M by 1.36 pc to Rs 1466.55, Powergrid by 1.34 pc to Rs 253.95, NTPC by 1.04 pc to Rs 204.10, and Nestle India Ltd by 0.76 pc to Rs 22,500.
