Sensex moves up by 200 points during early trade

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex continued to rise on Friday too as it edged up by 262 pts as brisk buying was seen in Materials, Capital Goods, Finance, Health Care and Industrials stocks.

The Nifty too rose by 69 pts to 14,793.85.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 49,417.64 and 49,169.14 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,863.05 and 14,790.85 respectively.

The Mid Cap fell by 0.07pc while Small Cap rose by 0.40 pc.

In 30 scrips 20 advanced while 10 declined.

The gainers were M & M by 2.25 pc to Rs 763.95, Bharti Airtel by 1.52 pc to Rs 566.85, Ultracemco by 1.31 pc to Rs 6490, HDFC Bank by 1.30 pc to Rs 1419.60 and TCS by 1.24 pc to Rs 3150.

The losers were Bajaj Auto by 1.64 pc to Rs 3879, Powergrid by 0.37 pc to Rs 214.60, Tech Mahindra by 0.29 pc to Rs 974.90 and Maruti Suzuki by 0.18 pc to Rs 6653.75.
