Sensex recovers over 1,300 points

Mumbai/UNI: Snapping a losing streak of the last seven sessions, the BSE Sensex on Friday jumped 1355 points at 55,884 in the opening session on positive global cues.

The Nifty too rose 415 points at 16,663.05.

All the sectoral indices were positive in early trade.

Sliding over 2,700 pts following Russian invasion of Ukraine on Thursday, the equity market was seen in recovery mode, as it improved following a recovery in the global market.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 55,916.50 and 55,299.28 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 16,691.45 and 16,478.30 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up 3.97 pc and Small Cap by 4.31 pc. All 30 scrips were in green.

The gainers are Tata Steel by 5.58 pc to Rs 1134.95, IndusInd Bank by 5.46 pc to Rs 923.60, Bajaj finance by 4.27 pc to Rs 6909.05, ICICI Bank by 3.90 pc to Rs 734.85 and Bajaj finance by 3.83 pc to Rs 15,830.
