Sensex rises by 251.91 pts

Mumbai, Feb 20 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday bounced back by 251.91 points at 35,604.52 as fresh buying was seen in Materials, Finance, Bankex stocks.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 64.80 points to 10,669.15.

The sensex registered intra-day high and low at 35,653.14 and 35,519.80 respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra-day high and low at 10,697.35 and 10,653.60 points respectively.

The gainers were VEDL by 3.10 pc to Rs 157.75, Tata Steel by 2.57 pc to Rs 483.25, L & T by 1.45 pc to Rs 1274, ONGC by 1.29 pc to Rs 140.80 and Infosys by 1.22 pc to Rs 734.

The losers were Bajaj Auto by 0.53 pc to Rs 2763.90, HeroMoto Corp by 0.28 pc to Rs 2635.75, HCL Tech by 0.28 pc to Rs 1036.40 and ITC by 0.25 pc to Rs 274.40.
