Sensex rises by over 100 points
Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Thursday advanced 127 pts to open at 66,834.12 as renewed buying was seen in Health Care, Metal, FMCG, and industrial stocks.
The Nifty, too, rose 72 points to 19,850.90.
The equity market gained further in early trade as selected stocks were seen in green.
The midcap gained 0.69 percent, and the small cap gained 0.52 percent.
In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 1.57 pc to Rs 1651.10, Sun Pharma by 1.35 pc to Rs 1126.85, Bharti Airtel by 0.95 pc to Rs 896.75, Tata Steel by 0.92 pc to Rs 121.05, and Bajaj Finance by 0.66 pc to Rs 7480.
The losers were M&M by 6.47 pc to Rs 1445.60, Tech Mahindra by 4.65 pc to Rs 1090.80, Hind Unilever by 1.15 pc to Rs 2553, and Reliance Industries by 0.31 pc to Rs 2517.75.
