Kolkata, Dec 3 (IBNS): Tata Consultancy Services a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, announced that it has been recognized as a “Leader” in Life Sciences Outsourcing by leading consulting and research firm, Everest Group, in its report, “IT Outsourcing (ITO) in Life Sciences Industry Service Provider Landscape with PEAK Matrix™ Assessment 2015.”

Everest Group recognized TCS for leading the pack in terms of achieving deal success globally, further consolidating operations in emerging geographies, achieving strong growth on a large base, sustaining an extensive delivery network across North America, Europe, APAC, MEA and Latin America and continuously investing in proprietary solutions and research.

The Everest Group report is based on an evaluation of 20 ITO service providers specific to the global life sciences sector. Its findings are then mapped on to its ‘Performance, Experience, Ability, Knowledge (PEAK) Matrix’, a composite index of several distinct metrics related to a provider’s capabilities and market success. Everest Group also profiled the capabilities of these leading service providers in detail, including a comprehensive picture of their service scope, scale of operations, domain investments, delivery footprint, and market success.

“Life Sciences firms are in the midst of reorienting business models and strategic priorities to focus on core competence. TCS has bolstered its capabilities in core value-chain areas such as clinical trials and R&D with broad-based offerings to present a compelling value proposition to life sciences buyers,” said Jimit Arora, Vice President - IT Services, Everest Group.

“We are proud to be recognized as Leader in the Life Sciences ITO space by Everest Group,” said Debashis Ghosh, President – Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Energy, TCS. “As life sciences organizations continue to reinvent themselves and explore newer avenues presented by digital technologies, personalized medicines or emerging markets, TCS continues to add value and be the  partner of choice for our customers.”
