TVS Motor Company posts 24% sales growth in April 2018

Hosur / Kolkata, May 1 (IBNS): Automobile giant TVS Motor Company on Tuesday said it has registered a sales growth of 24% increasing from 246,310 units in April 2017 to 304,795 units in the month of April 2018.

Two-Wheeler

Total two-wheelers registered growth of 21.7% with sales increasing from 241,007 units in April 2017 to 293,418 units in April 2018.  Domestic two-wheelers recorded growth of 17.6% with sales increasing from 205,522 units in April 2017 to 241,604 units in April 2018.

Scooter sales of the Company grew by 9.6% from 81,443 units in April 2017 to 89,245 units in April 2018.  Motorcycles sales grew by 31.8% with sales increasing from 99,890 units in April 2017 to 131,704 units in April 2018.

Exports

The Company's total exports grew by 53.6 % from 40,221 units registered in the month of April 2017 to 61,798 units in April 2018.  Two-wheeler exports grew by 46.0% increasing from 35,485 units in April 2017 to 51,814 units in April 2018.

Three-Wheeler

Three-wheeler of the Company grew by 114.5% increasing from 5,303 units in April 2017 to 11,377 units registered in April 2018.
