New Delhi/IBNS: The digital transactions of many users came to a halt after an outage in the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) across India on Saturday, media reports said.

Users faced trouble in transacting money through apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm.

The outage was first reported by around 200 users on X handle at around 11:26 pm and the disruption peaked within 20 minutes.

The disruption in digital transactions was reported by over 1,100 users by noon.

In a statement on X, NPCI wrote, "NPCI is currently facing intermittent technical issues, leading to partial UPI transaction declines. We are working to resolve the issue, and will keep you updated. We regret the inconvenience caused."

This is the sixth time digital transactions were disrupted this year.

The transactions were halted for about three hours on March 26 after technical issues were reported.
