Vi moves Supreme Court seeking review of AGR dues order
New Delhi/IBNS: Vi Tuesday moved the Supreme Court seeking a review of its earlier order which dismissed the telecom company's petition for a recomputation of Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues, media reports said.
The top court Jul 23 dismissed petitions of two telecom companies, Vi and Bharti Airtel, seeking a correction in calculation of the AGR dues.
Contradicting Vi's calculation of its pending AGR dues at Rs. 21,500 crore, the telecom department has estimated the same at Rs. 58,000 crore.
In Sept 2020, the court had ruled the telecom companies must pay up 10 per cent of the total dues, owed to the government, by March this year and the remaining amount of money in equal installments in each fiscal year till Mar 2031.
