North India to experience 'never seen' cold wave with temperatures at -4 degrees C next week: Weather expert
New Delhi/IBNS: As temperatures in north India got a little better this week, experts suggested that they can still go down with a dip as low as -4 degrees Celsius next week.
Severe chills could be experienced in the region between Jan 14 and 19 and are likely to be at their peak from Jan 16 to 18, tweeted Navdeep Dahiya, the founder of Live Weather of India, an online weather platform.
Don't know how to put this up but upcoming spell of #Coldwave in #India look really extreme during 14-19th January 2023 with peak on 16-18th, Never seen temperature ensemble going this low in a prediction model so far in my career.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted cold wave-like conditions in isolated pockets over Delhi and its neighbouring states from Saturday.
Meanwhile, light rainfall in the national capital might bring some respite from icy temperatures for a few days.
Dahiya also said this year January can be historically coldest if the temperature continues to be like this.
"Also, to note this is a historic run so far in 11 days of Jan with next few days look really cold, #January 2023 can be historically coldest - maybe for 21st century so far?" Dahiya tweeted.
After bone-chilling nights for the past several weeks, the IMD had predicted only temporary respite for residents of Northwest India from the excruciating cold this week.
An active western disturbance was expected to trigger a 2-4 degrees Celsius rise in minimum temperatures over the north-western plains till Friday. But it warned of a fresh burst of icy chill in the national capital starting Saturday.
