7 earthquake hits Tajikistan, tremors felt in New Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 7 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 7 on the Richter Scale hit Tajikistan, the tremors of which was felt in Delhi and some other parts of north India on Monday, officials said.

According to IMD website, the epicentre of the quake was located at Latitude 38.1 degrees  north and  Longitude 72.9 degrees east.

IMD has called the earthquake, which hit at 13:20 hours as 'Great'.

The USGS website said the intensity of the earthquake measured 7.2 on the Richter Scale.
