Odd-even rule: AAP govt may extend 15-day trial period
After the hearing, the court reserved its order on the scheme till Monday.
The court was hearing eight separate PILs filed against the scheme which came to effect from Jan 1, reports said.
Speaking to reporters, Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai said: "Currently, the scheme will continue till Dec 15. Further decision will be taken after analysing the data received on this period.We will look into all the positive and negative effects of implementing this scheme in Delhi"
"The pollution level would have been higher in Delhi if the odd-even rule would not have been implemented for the past 15 days," he said.
The step was taken by the Delhi government as a step to curb down the rising air pollution in the city.
