5.3 earthquake hits Andaman Islands, no casualty

New Delhi, May 9 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale hit Andaman Islands on Monday, officials said.

The epicentre of the quake was located at latitude 11.5 degrees north and longitude degrees 91.5 east.

IMD called the earthquake as 'moderate'.

The earthquake occurred at 21:33 pm.

No casualty has been reported so far.
