6.2 earthquake hits China

Beijing, Oct 17 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter Scale hit Zadoi County of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province on Monday, officials said.

As per the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) website, the epicentre of the quake was located at latitude 32.81 degrees north and longitude 94.93 degrees east.

The quake occurred at 3: 14 p.m. Beijing Time.

No casualty has been reported so far.
