Tokyo, Nov 21 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale hit Japan's Ibaraki prefecture on Monday, officials said.
The earthquake hit the area at 6.59 a.m.
The Japan Meteorological Agency website said the epicentre of the quake was located latitude of 35.9 degrees north and a longitude of 141.0 degrees east.
No casualty has been reported so far.
