Heat wave conditions hit several part of India

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, May 15 (IBNS): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said 'heat wave conditions' were observed at isolated places over Odisha and north Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.

Speaking on maximum temperature, touching the 46 degrees mark and more, the IMD said: "Yesterday maximum temperatures (46.0°C or more) were observed at Banda-46.8°C, Khajuraho-46.5°C and Nowgong & Bramhapuri-46.2 each."

The highest maximum temperature of 46.8°C was recorded at Banda (East Uttar Pradesh).

The IMD on Tuesday heat wave conditions very likely to be experienced at many places over Odisha; at a few places over Jharkhand; at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha & Chhattisgarh.
