6 magnitude earthquake hits India-Myanmar border, tremors felt in Manipur
New Delhi, Jan 7 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter Scale hit regions around the India-Myanmar border on Sunday as tremors were also felt in Manipur, officials said.
The Indian Meteorological Department website said the earthquake hit at the depth of 35 kms.
The epicentre of the quake was located at latitude 24.7 degrees north and longitude 94.7 degrees east.
The IMD website called the intensity of the quake as 'Moderate'.
The earthquake occurred at around 12:17 hrs.
No casualty has been reported so far.
