Moderate 6.2 earthquake hits Myanmar, no casualty

Yangon, Jan 12 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter Scale hit central Myanmar on Friday, Indian met office said.

The epicentre of the quake was located at Latitude 18.4 degrees north and Longitud 94.0 degrees east, as per the IMD website.

The quake hit at a depth of 10 kms.

As per the IMD website, the intensity of the quake has been called as 'Moderate'.

No casualty has been reported so far.
