Amritsar, Apr 9 (IBNS): A low intensity earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter Scale hit Punjab on Monday morning.
Tremors were also felt in neighbouring Jammu and Kashmir.
No casualty has been reported so far.
The epicentre of the quake was located Latitude 31.9 degrees north and longitude 74.8 degrees east in the Amritsar region Punjab, said IMD website.
The quake was felt at around 6:06 hours.
