Philippines: Typhoon Mangkhut to make landfall on Saturday; thousands evacuate homes

Manila, Sept 14 (IBNS): Thousands of people have evacuated their homes in Philippines as the country is bracing for a super storm this weekend.

Typhoon Mangkhut, a category four hurricane, is expected to make landfall on Saturday.

Experts have said that Mangkhut is the strongest storm to hit the country this year.

The diameter of the storm is said to be 900km, and it is packing winds of at least 209 km/h.
