Wellington, Oct 30 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter Scale hit New Zealand' North Island on Tuesday, as per the US Geological Survey.
The quake hit at 2.13 a.m.
It hit at a depth of 227.3 km, as per USGS.
The epicentre of the quake was located at 39.0541 degrees south latitude and 174.9766 degrees east longitude, as per the website.
No casualty or damage to property has been reported so far.
