Moderate 5.5 magnitude earthquake registered in Indian Ocean: US Geological Survey
Moscow, Mar 10 (Sputnik) A moderate 5.5 magnitude earthquake was registered in the Indian Ocean on Sunday morning, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The first tremors were recorded at 07:53 GMT, with the epicenter located at the depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles).
Meanwhile, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that the epicenter of the quake was located 1,447 kilometers from the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.
There have been no immediate reports on casualties or damage caused by the quake.
