Shimla, Aug 3 (UNI) Moderate to heavy rains lashed parts of Himachal Pradesh in the past 24 hours, affecting normal life.

Paonta-Sahib in Sirmaur recorded 97 mm rainfall, tourist resort Kasauli 76 mm, Dharampur in Mandi 45 mm, Jogindernagar 18 mm, Baijnath & Palampur in Kangra 15 mm each, Sujanpur Tihra in Hamirpur 11 mm, Sangraha in Sirmaur nine mm, and Ghumarwin & Berthin in Bilaspur eight mm each.

Dharamshala in Kangra & Bhunter in Kulu seven mm each, Dehra Gopipur and Gaggal in Kangra , Bharmaur in Chamba ,Renuka in Sirmaur 6 mm each, Arki in Solan & Guler in Kangra -five mm each, Una, Manali in Kullu & Gohar in Mandi four mm each.

Shimla recorded 16.2 degree Celsius minimum temperature, Sundernagar 21.8 degrees Bhuntar 19.4 degrees, Kalpa 14.5 degrees, Dharamshala 20.4 degrees Una 24 degrees, Nahan 17.5 degrees, Keylong 13.4 degrees and Solan 19.6 degrees.

Tourist resort Manali 14 degrees, Kangra 21.6 degrees, Mandi 18 degrees Bilaspur 25 degrees, Hamirpur 23.8 degrees, Chamba 21.1 degrees, Dalhousie 15.5 degrees and Kufri 13.3 degrees respectively.

The Met Office has forecast rain or thundershower at many places in the mid and few places on the foothills and higher reaches in next 24 hours.
