Palghar/IBNS: An earthquake measuring 2.7 on the Richter Scale hit Palghar area in Maharashtra on Saturday, officials said.
According to India Meteorological Department website, the epicentre of the quake was located at 20 degrees north latitude and 72.9 degrees east longitude.
It hit at around 8.48 hours.
No casualty has been reported so far.
The district experienced at least half a dozen tremors within a period of about 40 minutes, a couple of days back.
