Nisarga Cyclone hits Maharashtra: Trains running from Konkan diverted via Belagavi

Belagavi/UNI: Four passenger trains running on Konkan Railway was diverted to run via Madgaon, Londa, Belagavi, Miraj on Wednesday as the region is under threat of Nisarga Cyclone hitting the Konkan.

According to South Western Railway (SWR) sources, Trains diverted due to expected heavy rain and Nisarga Cyclone over Konkan region of Maharashtra in Sindudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigadh districts and in Mumbai area. Four special trains of Konkan railway that commenced journey on June 2 are diverted and running via Madgaon in Goa to Miraj in Maharashtra.

Train No 02342 Nizamuddin- Thiruvananthapuram is plying via Surat-Kalyan-Miraj-Belagavi-Londa-Madgaon and another one Train ( 02618) Nizamuddin-Ernakulum is running via Manmad-Pune-Miraj-Belagavi-Londa-Madgaon. Thiruvanantbpuram-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (06346) Mumbai is plying via Madgaon-Londa-Belagavi-Miraj-Pune. Ernakulam-Nizamuddin special (02627) is plying via Madgaon-Londa-Belagavi-Miraj-Pune, the sources added.
