Noble International University partners with local theatre group, paint street graffiti on World Environmental Peace
Kolkata/IBNS: On the occasion of the “ World Environment Day” recently, ‘Hobe Ki Hobe Na’, a theatre group from Bengal, joined hands with Noble Institution for Environmental Peace, Canada ( NIEP) and their chartered university NIU ( Noble International University) to spread Environmental Peace.
“The objective of today’s graffiti on streets program was to spread awareness about social programs like preventing domestic violence, stopping use of 50 micron plastic, wasting water among others; but more importantly to empower our youth” said Dr. Tanima Bhattacharya, Associate Professor and Assistant Dean of Studies at Noble International University.
Bidesh Hazra, Director of the theater group ‘Hobe ki Hobe Na, said: ’“Through our art form we have decided to speak up against mob lynching, child marriage, female feticide. We must strive to protect our older generation at home, protect our Constitutional Rights as citizens of this great Nation!”
The street demonstration was carried out with a small group, maintaining social distancing and following other protocols pertaining to Covid-19 situation in India.
Prof. Dr. Bob Ganguly and Prof. Dr. Roger Hansell are facilitating talents across Kolkata and West Bengal. Dr. Shima Azizi, Project Director of Noble Institution for Environmental Peace, Canada and Prof. Marijo Readdey, Dean of Studies of Noble International University are also involved.
