College of Nursing and Mobile Eye Surgical Unit inaugurated in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 31 (IBNS): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Sunday inaugurated the College of Nursing and also the MESU (Mobile Eye Surgical Unit) Project at the Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur.

Also present on the occasion were Bidyut Baran Mahato (M.P, Jamshedpur),  Saryu Rai (Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs (Govt. of Jharkhand), Padma Bhushan S.S.Badrinath and P.Rajesh from Sankara Netralaya, Anand Sen (President TQM & Steel Business, Tata Steel Sunil Bhaskaran (Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel), Air Marshal (Dr) Rajan Chaudhry (Retd) GM Medical Services, Tata Steel, R.Ravi Prasad, President Tata Workers Union and .Dinda and .Tunnu Choudhary besides other officials and medical staff members.

Speaking on the occasion, Das said, “ The MESU project will first be launched in Chaibasa and if successful, it will be implemented in the whole of Jharkhand.”

He welcomed Badrinath to Jamshedpur and Jharkhand and requested him to see the possibilities of setting up of unit of Sankara Netralaya at Ranchi.

He mentioned about other medical initiatives being taken by the Govt. and said that in the next 4-5 years Jharkhand will become a healthy Jharkhand.

Saryu Rai spoke about the benefits of nursing and said that today nursing was important not only in hospitals but also in homes. He congratulated the State Govt and Tatas for this venture.
