Modasta.com launches Kannada version of multi-lingual health content platform

Bangalore, Sept 28 (IBNS): Modasta.com, a multi-lingual health content portal, on Wednesday announced the launch of a Kannada version of the website and app.


The Bangalore based health-tech start-up seeks to fill the gap in the health content space with credible information especially curated by Indian doctors.

Data by Modasta reveals that a record number of 40 percent of Kannada speaking health-seekers access online health content as a first point of reference. Insights also showcase a preference for Kannada health content on topics that include, pregnancy & child care, women’s health, diet & nutrition and skin health.

Modasta boasts of 1000 plus health articles and videos on a wide range of subjects ranging from women’s health to men’s health, wellness, lifestyle diseases, taboo diseases and pediatrics amongst others.

The health-conscious can also monitor their health on the Modasta platform through various health tools that include a BMI calculator, a pregnancy due date calculator and an ovulation calculator.

Bikram Barman, Co-Founder & CEO, Modasta said: “Four months since the immensely successful launch of Modasta.com, which has already started getting 1.5  million plus monthly visitors, I am pleased to announce that we are extending our offering to include Kannada. Our foray into Kannada is going to be beneficial to Karnataka residents who will finally have a platform to access health related content in their own language. Plans are on the anvil to expand into other South Indian languages after the successful launch of Kannada.’’
