COVID-19: Death toll in India touches 149

New Delhi/IBNS: The death toll in India due to COVID-19 outbreak touched 149 on Tuesday, revealed the Ministry of Health data.

The number of COVID-19 cases in India now stands at  5,194.

The Ministry said 401 people have been cured of the infection or discharged from hospital.

Maharashtra remained the worst-hit state with 1018 cases.

Tamil Nadu stands in the second position with 690.

Believed to have originated from China, the virus has now hit different countries across the globe.
