Himachal Pradesh: COVID-19 tally touches 300-mark

Shimla (HP)/UNI: Himachal Pradesh on Saturday reported four new cases of novel coronavirus, all from Kangra district, taking the overall tally of infections to 300 in the state.

Kangra Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said that four persons having Delhi and Gurugram travel history and were in Institutional Quarantine in the district, were found positive of COVID-19.

All are now being shifted to District Covid Care Centre at Dadh, DC apprised.

Details of the freshly reported cases were - A 53-yr-old man, resident of village Agar PO Tehri, Khundiya had returned from Delhi on May 26.

Second case was too of a 53-yr-old man, resident of village Ramnagar Post Office Tatehal who was presently staying in Institutiinal Quarantine at NIFT Kangra. The third case was of a 58-yr-old man who came from Gurgaon on May 28. He is a resident of Village Dashlun Lambagaon, Jaisinghpur and is presently quarantined at NIFT Kangra.

The fourth case of a 39-yr-old man, resident of village Bhalera Post office Bhallad Tehsil-Jawali with travel history from Delhi.He too is presently at IQ in Kangra .
The Kangra district now houses 53 active cases.
