Image: Pixabay Varanasi/UNI: With 140 more people testing positive for the novel coronavirus, the total number of cases increased to 8,691 here on Friday.
Official sources said that out of the total cases, 6,547 people have recovered completely while 1,998 patients were undergoing treatment.
So far, 146 patients have succumbed to the contagion in the district.
