India registers over 38,000 COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi: After maintaining less than 30,000 cases for the past two days, India on Wednesday recorded  38,617 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health data released.

India also witnessed 474 COVID-19 related deaths during the same period.

India has recorded 89,12,908 COVID-19 cases so far since the virus hit the country.

The death toll due to the highly infectious disease now stands at 130993.

There are 4,46,805 active cases in the country at present.

So far, 83,35,110 people have been discharged from hospitals.
