India space mission: ISRO launches Cartosat-3, 13 US Nano-Satellites
Sriharikota/IBNS: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Wednesday launched the advanced earth observation and mapping satellite CARTOSAT-3 along with 13 other commercial nano-satellites from the US.
The launch took place from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.
After a 26-hour countdown, the 44.4m tall vehicle, lifted off majestically from the Second Launch Pad as scheduled at 0928 hrs, belching orange fumes and with a rumble that shook the earth.
