Lucknow, Feb 11 (IBNS): Forest officials have employed drone cameras and other tracking devices to locate the man-eating tigress roaming the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh, according to media reports on Saturday.

Reportedly, local bodies have threatened to stay away from the state's Assembly elections scheduled here on Feb 15.

Candidates campaigning for the Assembly elections have also expressed concern saying that people are scared to attend public meeting, media reported.

The two-year old tigress has reportedly killed five people in the district that lies in the Terai region along the Indo-Nepal border.

According to reports, her latest human kill was found on Tuesday morning.

Media reports quoting forest officers said that the tracking team has been able to close the tiger in a sugarcane field near Chandupur village.

Apart from a large team of forest officers and veterinarians from Lucknow zoo, four elephants from the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve has also been pressed into service.
