Guwahati, May 10 (IBNS): The Assam forest department and NDRF teams are engaged to rescue a trap elephant calf in Deepor Beel, a water body located outskirts of Guwahati on Friday.
The elephant calf is being trapped in water hyacinth of the water body since Friday morning.
When the forest officials were informed about the incident, they rushed to the area and forest team had tried to rescue the baby elephant from the water body, but failed.
Later, the NDRF team has been called and both forest and NDRF teams are now engaged to rescue the elephant calf.
