5 magnitude earthquake hits Andaman Islands, no casualty
New Delhi, Aug 24 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter Scale hit Andaman Islands on Friday, as per Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
The earthquake occurred at 17:48 local time.
The epicentre of the quake was located at Andaman Islands Region.
As per the IMD website, the epicentre was located at 10.6 degrees north latitude and 91.5 degrees east longitude.
The epicentre of the quake was at a depth of 10 kms, said IMD.
No casualty has been reported so far.
