7.2 earthquake hits Vanuatu
As per the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre the magnitude of the quake was 7.2 on the Richter Scale.
According to USGS website, the earthquake hit 81km north-north-west of Port-Olry in the country at 8:23:53 local time.
No casualty has been reported so far.
After issuing a tsunami warning, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said in a statement: "The tsunami threat has now largely passed."
