Kolkata, Sept 26 (IBNS): Kolkata's Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals undertook a unique campaign to commemorate World Heart Day this year.

The “Love Your Heart” initiative was all about loving one’s heart and taking care of it.

This campaign which was executed across various communities and locations in the city across a span of seven days saw people walking on treadmills which were taken around the city, aimed at creating the highest kilometers walked within the duration of a week.

The previous record as per the Limca Book of Records was 4,056 km kilometers which has successfully been broken this year through the Love your Heart campaign. The total number of kilometers traversed on the treadmill by the citizens of Kolkata this year is 5935 kms.

A host of city celebrities such as Soumilee Biswas, Anindya Chattopadhyay, Mousumi Bhattacharya and Ayaz Ahmed graced the event at City Centre I to celebrate this noble feat.

The occasion was made even more memorable by a mesmerizing performance by music band, Krosswindz.
