Astronaut posts picture of flower grown in space

California, Jan 18 (IBNS) Astronaut Scott Kelly has shared picture of a flower which he has grown in space.

NASA astronaut is spending a year in space.

Tweeting an image of the Zinnia flower, he said: "How does your garden grow? Here's how my #spaceflower came to bloom."

He said: "#SpaceFlower out in the sun for the first time! #YearInSpace"

It is perhaps the first flower grown in space.
