Bangladesh registers 21 COVID-19 deaths in 24 hours
Dhaka: Bangladesh registered 21 COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, media reports said on Wednesday.
The south Asian nation also recorded 2,111 fresh cases during the same period.
The latest deaths take the overall death toll from the pandemic in the country to 6,275, according to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday, reports Dhaka Tribune.
Bangladesh had recorded the first COVID-19 deaths on Mar 18.
The recovery count rose to 354,788 after another 1,893 patients were discharged from hospitals in the 24 hours till Wednesday morning, reports Dhaka Tribune.
