Bangladesh registers 2,856 new COVID-19 cases, 44 more deaths

Dhaka/UNI: Bangladesh reported 2,856 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, which is less than Friday's high of 3,471.

"2,856 new COVID-19 positive cases and 44 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh," Senior Health Ministry official Nasima Sultana said in a media briefing on Saturday.

"The total number of positive cases in the country now stands at 84,379 and the death toll currently has reached 1,139 with the addition of 44 fresh fatalities," the official added.
