COVID-19 : Cases in India cross 10,000-mark, 339 deaths

New Delhi/UNI: Novel coronavirus cases on Tuesday morning crossed the 10,000 mark in the country with the figure rising to 10,363, the Health Ministry said.

Death toll due to the deadly virus has risen to 339 including 15 more casualties reported since Monday evening.

According to the Ministry, active cases of COVID-19 now stand at 8,988 across the nation , while 1,035 people were cured and discharged.

Meanwhile, there has been a fresh spike in the number of cases in Maharashtra where the digits have crossed 2,000 mark and stands at 2,334 with 160 deaths, while the national capital registered 1,510 cases with 28 deaths, followed by Tamil Nadu with 1,173 cases with 11 deaths.
