COVID-19 positive cases touches 15 in Bihar
Patna/UNI: The number of coronavirus infected people has swelled to 15 in Bihar on Sunday.
Meanwhile two people, inhabitant of Bataokuan in Patna city and Phulwari Sharif of the state capital, who were infected with the virus recovered at Nalanda Medical College Hospital in Patna and their reports tested negative for the virus. One patient had returned from Scotland while the other from Bhavnagar of Gujarat.
Superintendent of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital of Bhagalpur Ramcharitra Mandal said that out of blood samples of 11 suspected people who where admitted in the isolation ward, four tested positive for the coronavirus and they all belong to Munger district. The report of other seven blood samples were found to be negative he informed.
The Civil surgeon of Munger Dr Purushottam Kumar said that all those who have been tested positive for Corona virus infection in Jawaharlal Medical College Hospital of Bhagalpur were employees of a Private hospital National hospital of Munger were Saif Ali was treated. Saif Ali later died at AIIMS in Patna on March 21 and after his death it was detected that he was Corona positive. Besides these four cases another two persons including a widow and her minor son where also tested positive for the virus. Both had come in contact with Saif Ali.
A woman who lived in Lakhisarai was also tested positive yesterday as she too had come in contact with Saif Ali of Munger. Another woman was also tested positive for corona virus yesterday.
Altogether 10 people have so far been tested positive for coronavirus who came in contact with Saif Ali of Munger. They include a widow and her minor son of Chauramba village in Munger, four employees of National hospital, three employees of a hospital of Patna and a woman of Lakhisarai.
According to an official report the total number of positive cases till Saturday was 11 in the state and with the detection of four more positive cases on Sunday the total number of corona virus infected people increased to 15 in Bihar.
Meanwhile the labourer coming to Bihar from various States were being kept at relief camps on the borders of the state. All these people were being examined in the camps where they will have to live for another for 14 days. All arrangements for their food and lodging has been made in the camps.
