Delhi experiences mild tremors as 5.8 magnitude earthquake hits Afghanistan's Hindu Kush

New Delhi/IBNS: Mild tremors were felt in Delhi and adjoining areas on Thursday as an earthquake measuring a magnitude of 5.8 struck the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan.

The quake struck at a depth of 189 km, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) was quoted by Reuters,

Strong tremors were felt in the Afghan capital Kabul, while the quake was also felt in Islamabad, parts of northwestern Pakistan and mildly experienced in New Delhi.

No report of any casualty or damage has come forth yet.

Earlier on Sunday, an earthquake measuring 3.8 magnitudes on the Richter Scale was recorded in Haryana's Jhajjar with tremors felt in Delhi and surrounding areas.

On Nov 12 too, earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi and its adjoining areas.
